Down Town is a high energy-pumped and praise-filled as we explore the awesome promises God gives in His Word. Christ-centered and kid-targeted we take them on a journey through the Bible to learn about God’s plan and how they fit in. Both volunteers and kids have a blast as we grow stronger in our faith and as a community.

Wednesday Night Bible Blitz
This is where kids get into the Bible and the Bible gets into the kids! And when you use Bible Blitz, you’ll get into the Bible, too. Every week kids will explore God’s Word in large groups called Blitz Teams. Worship and prayer will be responses to what they’ve learned. Bible Blitz is intended to help kids build a deep and lasting friendship with God through the Bible. You’ll see your kids grow in amazing ways as they dig into the Bible, experience its truths, and apply those truths to their lives.

AGES 5 to 8
Children at this age are very concrete thinkers. They can begin to grasp biblical truths and how they apply to their lives. You can build a strong spiritual foundation by talking with your child on their level and explain things in simple, yet concrete ways.

This age group has a great sense of right and wrong, which presents wonderful oppurtunities to discuss the way that God wants us to live in relation to Him and to others. There is no better opportunity than in this age group to teach your child what it means to “love your neighbor as yourself.”

Children between 5-8 years old are also very inquisitive. Allow your child to go deeper by pointing our Christian resources sucs as books, movies and music. These resources can really help them grow in their spiritual journey.

AGES 9-12
Kids at this age are beginning to think abstractly. This is a great time to encourage them to go deeper into God’s word and to explore what it really means to be a Christ-follower.

This is also the age when kids begin to face all kinds of choices- many we wish they didn’t have to face. It is crucial at this stage children have strong spiritual grounding and family relationships. Talk is essential! Talk with your children every day about issues that are important to them; what’s going on in their lives, with their friends and at their school. Finally, don’t just talk… LISTEN!

The K4C staff members and volunteers feel that the most important decision is having Jesus Christ at the center of our own lives. Only when we have experienced the love of God can we then share it with our children. Seeing Christ lived out in daily life is worth more than a year’s worth of lessons in church. The community of K4C works hard to support you and your family in building a spiritual foundation in the life of your child. It is an honor and privilege as a ministry, to partner with you as we prepare your child for a lifetime of spiritual growth in God.
